Continue stirring until the flakes are fully dissolved and a uniform paste is formed, then reserve for use. Alternatively, for the direct hot water method, add the flakes into water preheated to 60-70°C at the same 5% to 10% proportion. Stir gently to ensure complete dissolution before subsequent application. It is crucial to allow the solution to cool for best results.

The application of the softened solution can be achieved through both padding and dipping methods. When utilizing the padding method, a dosage of 20-30g/L of the 10% solution is recommended, applied at a temperature of 30-40°C. This can be performed using either a one-dip, one-pad technique or two dips and two pads for enhanced saturation and effect. For the dipping method, a dosage of 3-8% (o.w.f.) of the 10% solution is advised, with a temperature range of 40-50°C. Maintain a liquor ratio of 1:10-15 and allow a processing time of 30 minutes for thorough application. As with any textile auxiliary, it is always recommended to ensure intermiscibility with other chemicals and processes by conducting preliminary tests and adjusting dosages accordingly to achieve perfect compatibility.
