Through a carefully controlled alkali and acid co-treatment process, we have optimized the tailings to serve as highly effective SCR catalysts.
The resulting catalyst demonstrates exceptional capabilities in reducing NOx emissions, a critical issue for air quality. Our research indicates that this modified tailings catalyst can achieve up to 96.2% SCR NOx reduction efficiency, a performance level that rivals and often surpasses traditional catalysts, particularly at elevated operating temperatures. Characterization studies reveal that the modification process enhances the catalyst's surface area, porosity, and the concentration of active species such as iron and cerium oxides.
