Our Zinc Oxide Desulfurizer, functioning as a ZnO desulfurization chemical catalyst, is specifically developed to target and remove sulfur compounds from natural gas streams at relatively low temperatures, typically ranging from 100 to 150ºC. This operational efficiency is a key advantage, particularly for natural gas processing where energy costs are a significant consideration. The catalyst converts H₂S and other sulfurous impurities into solid metal sulfides, dramatically reducing the sulfur concentration from several parts per million (ppm) down to levels below 0.1 ppm. This ensures the natural gas meets the stringent purity standards required for transportation, distribution, and utilization in power generation or as a chemical feedstock.
The effectiveness of the desulfurization process can be further optimized by the presence of trace amounts of water vapor in the natural gas. This moisture acts as a reaction promoter, enhancing the overall efficiency of the sulfur removal. In scenarios where organic sulfur compounds like COS are present in higher concentrations, a pre-treatment step with a suitable COS hydrolyst can be employed to convert these into H₂S, which can then be readily removed by the Zinc Oxide Desulfurizer. This integrated approach guarantees a high degree of purification for the processed natural gas.
